BIO
Mark is extremely experienced in training athletes in a wide range of sports. He has worked with numerous high school athletes and prepared them to play at the Division-I collegiate level. Mark has also trained professional athletes in the NFL, MLB, and PGA. He spent 2 years as the assistant to the strength and conditioning coach for the WNBA Connecticut Sun basketball team. Mark’s creativity in making each session different from the last makes training with him unique, unpredictable, challenging, and anything but routine. Mark believes “there is nothing that you can’t accomplish…all you need is a commitment and desire to work hard. If you want it, go get it!!!!”

Dana’s training style is a culmination of over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry including personal training, group exercise and Pilates. Dana is dedicated to helping her clients achieve what Joseph Pilates referred to as “true health” through the maintenance of their bodies with the full integration of mind, body and spirit into every workout session. Dana’s extensive background allows her to combine her knowledge of anatomy, movement and alignment to create unique and corrective programs to promote improved body awareness and a greater ease of movement for people of all ages and fitness levels.

BIO
While attending the University of Connecticut, Kristine discovered her love for physical fitness and all of its health benefits. After graduating with a degree in economics, staying in shape and exercising regularly continued to be an integral part of Kristine’s daily routine. After 11 years in the fast paced business world, Kristine left her job to have children. In 2000, after her second child, Kristine continued to be drawn to the world of fitness and became a certified Spin Instructor, teaching at several gyms in the immediate area. It didn’t take long for Kristine to realize that motivating and energizing people through exercise was her real passion. Consequently, in 2005, she added to her list of fitness certifications by becoming a certified Les Mills Body Pump Instructor. Always intrigued by body mechanics and its general effect on the overall fitness of one’s body, Kristine went on to study Pilates through the Peak Pilates System. After comprehensive training in classical Pilates and countless hours of personal practice, Kristine truly transformed her mind and body. She now finds satisfaction and enjoyment sharing her knowledge and passion for Pilates. Kristine loves opening up the minds of new students as well as challenging those who want to test their boundaries. Her ability to “read” bodies allows her to tailor workouts based on individual needs. She believes that healthy movement patterns are the key to a strong body. Lisa brings together the principles of classical Pilates with the modern advances of exercise science. Her caring and encouraging teaching style, keen eye for movement, and attention to detail help her clients improve their body awareness, strength, posture, and alignment. With a background in both Psychology and Elementary Education, some of Lisa’s greatest strengths are her patience and ability to connect with clients. She is a firm believer in continuing education and continually strives to improve her skills as a practitioner and teacher through more advanced certifications and workshops. Lisa has worked with every age group from teens to seniors, those with osteoporosis, scoliosis, arthritis, back, neck, shoulder and knee conditions, artificial hips and knees, and clients recovering from cancer. She enjoys creating unique exercise modifications to promote greater ease of movement and healthy biomechanics. Lisa is dedicated to personalizing exercise programs to help clients of all levels and capabilities reach their full potential in the gym and studio, and more importantly, to carry those skills into their everyday lives.

Cristin is a fitness enthusiast with a passion for changing lives. She began sharing her love for fitness with others in college, teaching various groups exercise classes. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in communications, she decided to follow her passion and begin a career in personal training. She recently moved back to her hometown and is ecstatic to be doing what she loves. Whether it’s shaking your booty in Zumba or hitting the floor with your chest and doing push-ups, Cristin is there to coach you through every second. Although she works with a large spectrum of clientele, she specializes in significant weight loss. She believes in focus and accountability. If you want to transform yourself badly enough and work hard enough, you can achieve it. Cristin’s goal is to not only give her clients the results they desire, but give them a new appreciation for their bodies and a craving for the next workout.

Joe has been a fitness coach at Shoreline Fitness since its opening in 2004 and has been involved with organized athletics for over 20 years. With clients ranging from pre-teens to seniors, Joe always emphasizes endurance, strength, nutrition, flexibility and quality of life. His techniques include circuit strength-endurance training, plyometrics and active isolated stretching.

Kevin has a passion for fitness and loves to help people improve their lives and mood through exercise. He started taking Body Pump classes in 2000 and got hooked fast! Soon Kevin was certified to teach Body Pump, RPM, and Spinning and realized that he had certainly found his niche. He loves to get people energized to work out and feel better about themselves, especially in his cycling classes. He has always enjoyed biking and swimming growing up, and as he got older, continued biking as a mode of transportation. As a trainer, Kevin likes to connect with people and let them feel at ease in the sometimes intimidating world of fitness. Everyone is going to get his best as a fitness coach. Kevin will guide your progress and be sure that when you leave, you will feel better than you did when you walked in the door!.

Mandy’s objectives as a personal trainer are to take the phrase “I Can’t” out of your thoughts and to show that with a little effort, anything is possible. She believes nothing worth doing is easy; it’s hard work, dedication and self-belief that are the pivotal elements of success. Mandy’s desire is to help you reach all of your fitness goals. Mandy’s love for fitness started in high school where she participated in numerous sports including track & field, All Star softball and soccer. She currently holds the girls’ Javelin record of 122’.2” at Maloney High School in Meriden. Mandy advanced from student to instructor at Great Hollow Wilderness School where she learned many outdoor activities including mountain climbing, rock climbing and survival/leadership skills. What started as an athlete’s lifestyle has developed into a passion for helping others achieve all of their goals by designing the right fitness program.
